What does speak sofly and carry a big stick really mean? Isnt that what bush is really doing. He needed to convince saddam that we are really carrying a big stick after years of demonstrating the opposite. Thats why the louder voice that Bush is using along with the deeds of getting forces in place and winning support from the likes of turkey et al. Saddam got the message. Now what does he do? I would cut a deal with W that would free up his oil, rid his nation of wmd and give him a pardon for war crimes already committed. Then a wealth iraq can rejoin the family of nations.
