Yes. Recession is just beginning, not ending. When states start raising taxes to cover deficit, interest rates start going up, the economy will fall off a cliff. Bill Gross said the bond bull market is over. We will see if he is right or not this time.

This is how I feel. It will take a decade to clean up everything. I do expect interest rates to keep going down and follow Japan pattern.

Maybe round four or five, it seems to me. To (impolitely) continue your metaphor, it seems to me that the old defending champ is trying to stage a comeback and has picked himself up off the floor two or three times and is being wildly cheered by his admirers as he careens punch-drunk around the ring, flailing at his opponent and once in a while landing a punch.
