Not in the sense that religious beliefs are, I agree. It's a mistake to try to pit one against the other. They're not mutually exclusive.

You have to believe certain things that you can't understand in science and math as well as religion. For example, imaginary numbers don't exist, but you have to believe they will function in the applications that they're used in.

Science is not a matter of faith.....
