Crossy, despite the fact that the plan is being spearheaded by the Democrats, I really think that it has a real chance of gaining steam if the Republicans want to stay in office and avoid a major financial calamity.

Many states are just beginning to deal with defecits. States are required to maintain a balanced budget as opposed to the federal govt. Without some relief, states will not be able to balance their respective budgets. I don't think that the Republicans would like to test our country's economic stability. Imagine what a crises individual states filling for bankruptcy would be.

Anyway, this entire issue might be moot in regards to UAHC. I just was curious if federalising medicare reimbursements would have any effect on their contract with Tenn.
