The National Organization of Women took it upon themselves....through the leadership of a radical few..... to declare war on what they perceived as apathy on the part of women and a certain level of inequality. In one sense they had a point. You could use the "glass ceiling" theory as an example. The problem is, it became an all out assault on American values, morals and ethics. The result was millions of women forgoing motherhood ( many found themselves at higher risk for complications, defective offspring or downright infertile because of these delays) or partnering with a man to start a family, which is a basic fundamental necessary to the success of a meaningful, valuable and civil society. Hillary Clinton is probably the most contemporary spokeswoman for NOW today. That is precisely what her book "It takes a Village" was about. As a result there are many women who regret entering the work force, putting off raising a family, and, when completing the circle, i.e. having children.....relegating the care of their children to others through day care..I think we can all agree that a mother and father have the best interest of the child in mind as opposed to a minimum wage child care worker......while they selfishly returned to the work force because otherwise...according to NOW..... they "wouldn't be fulfilling their potential." (which of course has nothing to do with being a wife or mother.) All to the detriment first to the child, then to the family and lastly to society. There is documentation galore illustrating the detrimental affects upon the players of this very dangerous game. I even got caught up in the deception for awhile. Can you express an opinion about this without being a PITA or not? M
