I understand what you are talking about. Happens to me
sometimes to. I try to ride along with it.

Also if things are going against me, I don't fight it as
much any more. I sorta just sail with the wind. (When I
remember to do so.)

I read this somewhere. I don't know who said it but I keep
it on my profile page. I think it's something you say to
help you to meditate.

Empty the self completely;Embrace perfect peace. The
world will rise and move;Watch it return to rest. All the
flourishing things will return to their source. This return
is peaceful; It is the flow of nature, An eternal decay and
renewal.

I think ideas are born in there.

I have to remember to do that more often.
Especially when I'm in that so called, "Zone".

Writing silly stuff to you folks sort of puts me in that
zone. I guess that is why I do it so much.

Time stands still.
Actually, time zooms by without me knowing it.
I lift my head from the keyboard and 20 minutes have gone by.
But within that is when time stands still.

I can feel ideas pop into my head not knowing where they
came from. Often times I look back at stuff I wrote and
can't figure out how I thought of something so weird.

Other times I can't get any words to flow.

I guess it then when I need to let the mind relax and get
out of the way.

That was a cool story about Dock Ellis.

Lurqer,

<I think we've all had times where for a while everything seems to be in some kind of groove. As long as you don't get cocky, you can prolong the effect and accomplish some remarkable tasks that are usually beyond your abilities.>

In college we played University Northern Illinois in soccer. I scored 5 goals in the the first half....three kicks and two heads on corners. I was nailing the ball, felt like I could run forever, could anticipate opportunities before they opened up, and I honestly knew I would score on the corner kicks.

At half time I was really pumped (read insufferably full of myself). I couldn't wait to get back out on the field for the next 45 minutes!

To make a long story short, none of my team mates would pass to me during the second half. We won the game 5-3.

The record still stands at the school today.

That was flow!
