In order to get along here, we just have to be damn careful to stress that we are attacking the Ideas, not the Poster, and be polite about it. As you might guess, Bill, I agree with this last point here. When someone posts an article, such as the Harris article you posted, I try to criticize the article not you, on the assumption you do not share all the ideas in the article and that if you wish to defend the points in the article I disagree with you will do so. When someone posts points of their own, I try to address the points rather than the poster. But we all slip. Hopefully, not a lot. One addendum, however, to the above. As I've said repeatedly, if someone goes personal on me, I will respond in kind. Then, if I'm in one of my more mature moments, simply respond no longer. Sometimes I need help with maturity. (g) As, unfortunately, do more than a few other members of the thread. But, as we all say, that's another story for another day.
