Mike-- Last night, at another Levine dinner party (small with just Americans), one guest brought up an interesting speculation that I'm sure you would hate.

She speculated, that just as conservatives accused Clinton of using Serbia (or was it Iraq?) as a deflection from his Lewinsky problems, Bush is using Iraq as a deflection from his, and Chaney's, Enron problems. IMO, it has exactly the same credibility. There is no question that Bush's administration was in bed with Enron. I also still look at the Carlyle Group involvement thru the lense of the cockroach theory, if you see one bug, rest assured that there are many more.

I still don't understand why W's administration resists making the energy meetings public. It stinks!
