(1) the SI interface will not change significantly...we're of course going to keep making improvements, as we have in the past. We're still going to get the majority of our ideas for these changes from member feedback. (2) We may convert to a recurring subscription plan and eliminate the lifetime fee for new members at some point, but we're certainly going honor the existing lifetime memberships. (3) We will not bombard you with banner advertising or other forms of solicitation. Specifically, banner ads will not be placed in the message boards for members (If we do, you will have the ability to turn them off). If you have any other questions, please ask. Brad Dryer Silicon Investor It seems to me that the second sentence of #3 still holds true, but not the first. I do not see any ads when I read threads, but if I click on "charts" (which is not often because the SI charts like totally blow chunks), I see two banners, a skyscraper, a pop-over that conveniently obscures the chart, and my in-box fills up with saucy messages from SI member Mistress Wanda, asking me to help her recover USD.20.5 M, [ TWENTY MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS], which has been sitting unclaimed in a Nigerian bank. I also have some opinions about item #1, but that's all silicon under the bridge now.
