Hmmm. Sounds like the border must be already overcrowded with law enforcement doing their duty...

Maybe if we imprison the citizens the aliens won't be so much of a problem.

One official, Assistant Police Chief Charles McClelland, even said Black's efforts could backfire and touch off a new gang skirmish – one between the residents and street thugs.

Quite possibly... Tucson is really two communities, north and south Tucson.. The southern portion is predominantly Latino, with many residents having lived there for 10-20 years (and still not bothered to learn passable english)..

I can see why they are taking such actions as forming these posses.. But they had better be careful so as not to overstretch their authority and invite civil and criminal suits.

But on the bright side, it's this kind of public pressure, spotlighting the failure of both the US and Mexican governments to curtail illegal immigration, that will force politicians to do what they should be doing, lest angry vigilantism erupt creating more problems.
