Few Germans, however, are willing to part with their commitment to social responsibility. They're unwilling to part with their benefits. It is my belief that several things were going on in Germany that have all led to the problem they now have. Several years ago Germans would not work for wages they considered far to low so that meant that companies had to bring in workers from other countries. Those workers who would work for less pay became part of the social systems costs.
