We have to start someplace, and Iraq is ripe as a target. We need to dismantle part of the international terror network, forestall Saddam's ability to deploy WMDs, and demonstrate a willingness to do whatever is necessary to ensure our security. We cannot afford to have anyone further miscalculate the resolve of this country, or its ability to retaliate. We must break morale, to the extent possible, among potential enemies..........

Patently false. Even if the war was solely about seizing oil, the benefits of an reliable and plentiful source of oil insures a healthier economy which benefits ALL of us....
