Thanks. He speaks of "expanding the menu" of what the Fed buys, but admits that the "menu" is limited. However, apparently the Fed can lend money directly even to individuals and can buy bonds of foreign countries.

I still see no evidence of a wish, let alone the authority, to get into the stock market directly.
