Wow. Not even the Soc. profs I had in college were THAT bad, in class. Outside of class, they were viscious. Worked in the Sociology Dept. chairwoman's office for a semester. Got to know all the loons by heart. There was one prof in the department that wanted to be a New England blue blooder so bad it hurt him. He was avoided by the rest of the faculty. He was a nut in the opposite direction. Not very popular. The chairwoman to this day is the only human being I have ever heard refer to a manhole cover as a personhole cover with a straight face.

No doubt you could, with a little searching find more of these kinds of student posts. If it's true, the student should talk to the department chair or to the dean. If it's simply made up, then it should be ignored. The most likely thing is that it's partially true (the student picked up on the faculty member's political convictions in a gross way), that the course was a reasonable intro course that did the things the student said it did not, but that the student either developed a personal distaste for the faculty member or did poorly in the course or is on some sort of political mission. Who knows which of these is true from this.

Hi LindyBill; Sounds to me like that Sociology class was a very good introduction to Sociology. Of course my understanding of Sociology is somewhat simpler than that propounded by the instructor, LOL. From the fact that the student who took the class gave the answer on the test that the authority figure desired, even though it was blatantly wrong, I conclude that the student learned well. Funny how so frequently the lessons the leftists wish to teach are not the ones that are learned.
