But you're right, the way he puts does slide into accusations of calling the whole American left America-haters, which neither I nor LB have ever done. Hmm, more than a little bit of historical revisionism here, to repeat someone. But if you don't think you've done that. Fine. Let's let it drop. But it is, going forward, important to make qualifiers, if we are going to continue to use left-right distinctions, which groups, folk, whatever within those broad patches of humanity we have in mind when we drop those little asides or offer broad manichean generalizations of the sort of "you are either with us or against us". One more point. The degree to which you keep posting these anti-left posts as if they contributed to the thread, leads others to post equally anti-right stuff. Which, in turn, contributes to posting wars. Not a good place to go.
