The White House is therefore able to call on General Tommy Franks, commander of the Iraqi sector, to produce the evidence needed to prove Iraq?s mountainous declaration false. All the general needs do is to order the elite unit guarding any one of the 16 squares to seize a weapons system, possibly with its Iraqi crew.

I don't think we are this good, but maybe so. It is just too good to be true.

No need to really answer.

#1 That means they didn't have any evidence 3-4 months ago when they said they had it. (Is it OK with you that they were intellectually dishonest when they told us they had evidence?)

#2. If we now know where all the crap is, why do we have to go to war?

#3 Why haven't these reports been shared with the Weapons Inspectors?

#4 Knowing we have intelligence, now, how does this change our current strategy?

#5 Has this information been shared with the world community, the UN, the security council? Why?

Hi CobaltBlue; Re: "I know, I know, I promised to stop following the blow-by-blow, but this was just too interesting to pass up."

I think it's good that you posted this here. But you should warn us. I could have ended up with coffee up my nose.

P.S. I heard that it was the Chinese Army that was taking care of locking down Talil air base square.
