Yes, the people are very poor, and the cheap labor pool they provide is exploited by US and other western companies to assemble and manufacture goods which are sold for huge markup profits in western countries.

Very recently I saw some Made-in-Bangladesh sweaters and pullovers being sold at Costco stores. The quality of these items were passably good!

By the way, Bangladesh is a Muslim state.

if I recall it correctly Bangladesh is very unusual Muslim state. It relies on non-Muslim India to defend it against Pakistan and other Mislim neighbors.
And as such is hated by many muslim extremists

Why would someone want to kill innocent people in Bangladesh?

Al-Qaeda is there, and they believe that the Bangladeshi Muslims are not faithful.
