Joan, you mean this thing is going to end? <g> There was a piece in the NY Times this morning agreeing with you that the changes were entirely political (Bush had to be seen doing something), and that policy would remain totally unchanged ... pointed out though, that from here on in, he will be held increasingly responsible for the economy. As for his having trouble getting people into positions, could it have something to do with his demand for both total loyalty and total ideological correctness? And as for Cheney, I doubt there's ever been a VP with more power. Maybe KT knows of one, but I sure don't.
