if you look at my chart i think it shows ALL stos below 50 11/11/2002 but the RSI over-ruled, this regards SPX I am not looking at NDX at the moment but wouldn't be surprised see same thing. The whole point of the red boxes and red lines on the stos is to demonstrate exactly that the 3 stos being below 50 developed no DBs. Ork, re "with the stos all below 50, AV is out of the question"? Sure, if you're talking about Jeff's definition, then AV is out of the question, but I don't see why it matters from what level the stochastic reverses. A stochastic reversal is a stochastic reversal. It means the market has changed directions -- no more, no less. Who cares whether it reverses from above the 50 line or below?
