Unfair. I said I don't take the Bush folk seriously in their protestations that they wish to install democracy in Iraq because of their propensity to attack and leave and because the US has that history as well and because the most informed commentary suggests they will try to put some sort of sympathetic, perhaps military, dictatorship in place, perhaps under the guise of some voting process.

And your last little line about objectivity and emotions is more than a wee bit patronizing. Unlike you.

As for whether I can back a Bush war initiative, I really don't know. I certainly can't back the justifications offered for this one because, and to repeat, I think the justifications are determinative of what will happen after the invasion. And, best I can tell, these are only likely to make matters much worse rather than better.
