Her is an interview with Crowe, In Rosarito Mexico, where they built a "Tall Ship" in the same tank they used for "Titanic."

My favorite movie of Matures was when he played "Doc Holliday" in My Darling Clementine (1946), with Henry Fonda. He did a lot of Epics, The Robe, and Samson in "Samson and Delilia."

General Patton always believed he carried a banner at Zama for Scipio in a previous life.

Victor Mature was truly gawd-awful, but it seems like almost everyone was gawd-awful in those days.

Remember Tony Curtis? ("Yonda is the castle of my fadda.")

Caught part of the Hornblower series on cable. One odd scene sticks out in my mind... the battle where the powder boys were carrying kegs of powder to the guns, repeating the refrain: "Make way for powdah! Make way for Powdah!" Never realized they had so many little kids on those warships.
