We don't know that do we.... I've read a lot about Jefferson and he was often consulted on the topic....his letters in response are available... He didn't have the equivalent of chat groups, of course, but he did give his frank opinion in very polite terms..... Jefferson was a Deist..... And to correct you, I don't argue against God unless someone brings up the subject in public forum and states religious dogma as a given fact..... If the subject were never raised, I would not be the first to do so.....
