The main reason is the cost of delivery, and these are relatively expensive to deliver due to high weight/cost ratio. With the coins and the rounds, there's a bit of a numismatic factor as well. Finally, futures lots are in 1000 oz increments, so theres an element of scale involved.

The most efficient way to own silver is via the futures, IMO, but some folks like the idea of physically possessing physical silver.
