Tiomin Comments On Newspaper Article Appearing In The East African Standard

TORONTO, ONTARIO--Tiomin Resources Inc. ("Tiomin") announced
today that Kenya's Minister for Mineral Exploitation, Jackson
Kalweo, is quoted in an article appearing in today's East African
Standard stating that the Government of Kenya has approved
Tiomin's application for a Mining Lease on the Kwale project.

As it is a national holiday today in Kenya, Tiomin cannot verify
the accuracy of the newspaper article, but Tiomin does believe,
to the best of its knowledge, that the approval of the Kwale
Mining Lease application by the Government of Kenya is imminent.

Tiomin will announce the details of the Mining Lease as soon as
possible upon receiving confirmation of its approval.
