Hell, no, but the stars are. They don't have to say it
loud. Actually, they won't say it with words, that's
politically incorrect, stars don't do that. But they send
it out with messages: 'the violent rewards/compensation',
daily. This is a grey-area: 'how much is too much'.
Fortunately, no matter how the stars try to hide the
'fact', the true do come out, eventually. Of course, not
out right. But you can deduct from 'news and events'. Like
the latest 'baseball strike talk', I believe one star
negotiator slip the tongue saying he would take a
30-50% cut if it can help settle things. I think that
is a 'ball park figure' on those 'deserving exceptional
performers'. I agree with your argument: 'exceptional
performer deserves exceptional pay'. The problem is:
'there is no yardstick', so they take as much as they
don't deserve. The problem, they themselve don't even know.
NOBODY in their right mind says: 'you pay me too much'.
Also, even if you know and want to say it, but you really
can't, THEY CUT YOU OFF.
A common theme, most 'exceptional performers' would do it
just for fun, no money is OK (maybe not that extremely,
except occasionally they say something like that). Like:
I'm not doing it for money, you just give too much to me.
What am I supposed to do.....
It's a mess. It's a bubble (ego-bubble). It'll pop.
When this kind of bubble pop, it's not pretty.
Maybe it is designed by the gov. to control people, with
money... the conspiracy.
