This link shows that this is a well financed group of opposition to Bush and War in Iraq............Bob Edgar has enlisted some most interesting groups....

One has to wonder WHY.....

Karen,

I appreciate your posts and this has been an interesting conversation but I genuinely don't know what troubles you. My guess is that this particular ad is only the beginning of fairly conservative, mainstream groups speaking out in opposition. Unless the Bush folk do a better job of public persuasion. And unless they are quite careful to keep a UN cloaked draped around them.

As for the tax issues, my guess is that because it's old news, a lot of attention has been paid to that issue by not only the sponsors of that ad but by any church/synagogue/mosque group which gets close to policy positions. I'm just not certain that taking a position on a policy issues puts the tax exemption in jeapordy. If it did, to keep repeating myself, the anti-choice policies of the evangelicals would put them in play as well.
