LB I was very surprised that 60 Min. covered this! I was shocked at how negative it was. I think this is the first shot accross the bow. The press might jump on now because they will sell more by nailing Bush then by supporting him. Maybe those right of center are not so happy with W. now, either. Soon you will see the whole thing start to unwind around the edges. This morning Iraq was not even the top story. And questions are sneaking in about W's Strategy. When Card said "You don't introduce a new product in August.", he didn't finish the sentence which adds "December, January, July." They executed the fall season Marketing Plan and won the elections. But they have no good strategy for now! They should have realized that Saddam would get some good advice since almost nobody wants this war except us and the Poodle. It's evident from the way the O'Neill/Lindsey thing went down. The Pitt resignation was part of the plan because they announced it right around the elections so the good news would suck up all the media coverage of the collasal failure at SEC. I think O'Neill and Lindsey said :"Forget this. We did everything you wanted and now you are saying we didn't communicate the BUSH ECONOMIC PLAN successfully Exactly what is the Bush Economic Plan? All I remember is that fawning Senior Class presentation at Crawford. What ever came of that? Nice pick for Treasury Secretary. Looks like the best quality he has is loyalty. At least he won't be lowering the average age of the Cabinet. It's all downhill from now on. Imagine if he invades now without any proof! Like many people's favorite movie.
