UAL declares. While they are blaming the pre market on that I don't agree as this isn't a surprise to anyone that is breathing. Both the dollar and the futures have been in decline since shortly after mid night.

Their ramp job on Friday isn't going to have any staying power unless they step to the plate again this morning. Right now re-testing the Friday lows looks like it is very possible. We shall see.

____________

Zebra, Rat, Pig and Goat are the stars of "Pearls Before Swine," which begins Monday, October 14 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Animal Charm

Meet the cast of characters in "Pearls Before Swine," making its debut Monday, Oct. 14 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Rat: Known for his hostility toward electrical appliances, Rat has a lot of issues. Arrogant and self-centered, Rat is obsessed with fame and making moola. He spends his time with Pig because it makes him feel superior. But "Pearls" fans will find that Rat has a strangely charming philosophical side to him.
Pig: Gentle, kind and a little slow, Pig tries to be helpful to everyone. He even gives Fidel Castro fashion tips. And although he's the subject of endless barbs from Rat, he's still fond of the little rodent. Pig's one failing? He likes BLTs.

Zebra: A true humanitarian/zebratarian, he's constantly trying to devise ways to protect his fellow zebras from predators. His efforts include a mailing campaign to open a dialogue with The Lions. The Lions' return correspondence includes their own thoughts on the matter: "We eat you."

<oooopssss. Frankly, I do not think that's me>

Goat: His books tell him about everything from Shakespeare to Mark Twain. What they don't tell him is how to deal with the other characters in the strip, who come to him for mentoring. Goat plays reluctant critic to all creative pursuits, from Rat's first book to Pig's TV watching.
