Robert Barry is one of those Jews that the late Einstein (a Jew himself) would have reviled against for having adopted a name that hides his Jewish origin so that he would be able to exist, chameleon-like, in white Christian society. But for the fact that some European countries have become friendly to Israel, especially after WW2, Jews like Robert would still be required to perform their "duty" when identified as such in public. In earlier times and even up to the 1950s, Jews in N. America had been masking their Jewishness by subtlety and artifice, for example, by marrying the whitest of white women in order to produce offspring that over generations would appear to be indistinguishable from other mainstream folks, and by adopting Christian names and generally existing like chameleons which skillfully blend in with their surroundings. By the way, like most other reptiles, chameleons are known for their predatoriness. Now that the U.S. recognizes Israel as an important ally, more and more Jews are coming out of the woodwork, more than half a century after Einstein had told them not to be "ashamed" of themselves. Now a good number of them are being very cocky and arrogant in stark contrast to their pusillanimity of former times. By the way, for reasons that should be obvious, Einstein was invited to be the first leader of Israel soon after its inception in 1948. But he declined in favor of academia at Princeton. Oh heck! Why am I writing all this to you? I am sure you probably know a whole lot more than me about those folks.
