I got the bad news today....the producer/writer I had look at my novel rejected it.
He said he loved my story but the novel simply needed too much editing.

I figured as much...I simply don't have the education and I hoped for the best when I sent it out. I did the best I could but I reckon thats not enough.

I reckon I am nieve. I hoped I could find a publisher/agent/producer that would love my story idea so much they would look past the fact my novel needs an edit. I quickly learned thats not the way it works. Simply put, there is too much competition and too many good novels/screenplays/story ideas floating around to put money into one that needs so much work.

I still have another production company and an agent looking at my book. The agent is an "A" list agent so my guess is he wont bother responding. I don't hold out any hope for the other production company either.

Not sure what I will do now. I guess I will just sit back and let this sink in and re-evaluate it in a few days.
