What makes you think I don't know? You might want to consider that trumpeting a big year on year earnings increase when almost the entire improvement is due to an accounting change is fraudulent.

Gaap earnings are one thing, but interpretations presented in press releases are something else.

You might also want to take note that Intel will have to write off that "Goodwill" asset eventually. Remember when NT "lost" $20,000,000,000 in one quarter?

Sometimes it's better to amortize these things over time, instead of taking the hit all at once.
