You are quoting "Muslim Media"? Since when is it a source of credible information and analysis for you? Let's take a look at the first sentence: Reacting to a calculated snub by the European Union (EU), prime minister Mesut Yilmaz has threatened to withdraw Turkey's application Do you have any idea when Mesut Yilmaz was PM in Turkey??? Jeez, this article is OLD. Written in 1998, I see. How can it possibly be a proof for or against on the issue of Turkey condemning terrorist attacks that took place in the year 2001??? Only one course of action would ensure that Turkey receives the respect and weight its strategic position and historical Islamic achievements merit. And that is to accept its Islamic roots and drop its pretensions to a European heritage that can only demean its predominantly Muslim people. Of course "Muslim Media" is going to say that. That is just their opinion, which, fortunately, is not shared by many in Turkey. This is the best "analysis" you could come up with? There are many more (links) on Turkiye's situation. I suggest you take the initiative and attempt to do some of your own homework. I am telling you this for the last time - I follow the news from the region in three languages. I lived in the region for many years. As a result, I have a far better understanding of their issues than you can ever hope to attain in a million years, sitting in your cozy corner in America and reading English papers & internet sites dating from four years ago.
