Actually, most of the limited food in North Korea is given to the army and to the "elite" living in Pyongyang. That's a huge reason why there is so much starvation in North Korea, and why humanitarian efforts are so frustrating. It's also the reason why North Korea can maintain such a large standing army even in the midst of famine.

It is nothing short of sickening, if you ask me.
