Whoa: 16:55 ET MXO Maxtor guides higher for Q4 (4.61 -0.06)
Company issues upside preannouncement for Q4 (Dec); revenue is expected to be between $990 million and $1.030 billion; company expects to report pro forma net income for the quarter of between $25 and $35 million, or $0.10 to $0.14 per share -- Multex consensus estimates are for a net loss of $0.05 per share and $968 million respectively.

My sense is business has stabilized at much lower levels and the recent breakouts in the NASDAQ was due to fund managers chasing tech as they were scared of bieng left behind. I think at current valuations a lot of the improving fundamentals have been priced in. The best thing
for the bulls would be for the market to consolidate in a long trading range thus frustrating both the bulls and the bears while fundies catch up with valuation.
