SImilar thoughts from Roger Altman today in the Times. The logic of your argument is persuasive and, yet, does it not make sense that tax cuts will encourage new investments? Altman argues "no", at least in the context of technology. His view is basically "wait it out." He says little if anything can be done in the short term. That may be right. I closed my ST treasury position today for a 1 percent gain in 2 1/2 weeks. I don't like the possible effects of "stimulus".
