Good points, Roebear. Another thought.... If this cold water pool does persist and grow, eventually cutting off the Gulf Stream flow across to Europe? The plan to run those tanker fleets from Murmansk, Russia to the US - in a few years - might be cut off by a significant thickening of the winter ice pack!! Granted this is a LT issue. But it could become hugely important. Iso
