NEW YORK -- One day after ending its $18 billion merger plan with EchoStar -- and collecting a $600 million breakup fee -- DirecTV scored a touchdown Wednesday against competitors.

The No. 1 satellite TV broadcasting company held off threats from No. 2 satellite company EchoStar, operator of the Dish Network, and cable rivals to keep its exclusive rights to offer NFL Sunday Ticket. That gives subscribers 14 National Football League games each weekend through the 17-week regular season.

i was wondering why Giants came out on fire and went up on Dallas 21-0 in the 1st quarter; then i realized by Saints and Falcons both being upset, this gave Giants new life for the wild card team.
Blast Detroit ALMOST shocked Tampa Bay.
So formula remains we must win last 2 to have the homefield.
Against Cowboys we are should not lose--
Giants in NY, it will likely be a battle, a tough game( even if they weren't in the wildcard race Giants would just LOVE to take homefield away from us). Max
P.S. Jason Baker is a big problem. If he had not gotten that good punt off at end of game i think he would have been released after today's game.
