Good example of why I hate Farm Supports. The guys getting it set around and complain about the "Cadillac Welfare Queens."

Former Worldcom Chief on Government Aid (12/10)
Former Worldcom CEO Bernie Ebbers may have gotten $408 million in loans from his company, but it wasn't enough to water his plants. Three farms owned in part by Ebbers or linked to him got more than $4 million in U.S. Department of Agriculture aid from at least 1998 through 2001, say USDA records obtained by the Environmental Working Group.

one British writer, I gather he is a Brit, who fits the model.

You have an easy way of dismissing contrary evidence. Don't you think that the human rights crowd has a wee bit of a philosophical problem in being forced to denouce the proposed overthrow of Saddam Hussein? Where do they go to get their rationale when they are forced to defend one of the worst regimes on Earth from American aggression?

I've certainly heard plenty of "hyprocrisy" charges, usually under the guise of "it's all about ooooooiiiiillll!", an argument that boils down to "no fighting for any American interest". George Monbiot just laid it out on the table and made it obvious -- no one should sign on with guys who do the right thing for the wrong motives.
