Doesn't the scientific method usually go something like:

hypothesis -> theory -> law

There are scientific laws which have basically been proven beyond any reasonable doubt e.g. the law of gravity, the laws of thermodynamics, laws of motion etc. I believe relativity is still a theory, but science in not just theories.

I believe that in modern science, the word "theory" has replaced the word "law". A scientific theory, (as I understand it) has been repeatedly tested. For instance, the principles that engineers used to design the computer you use are most likely "theories" and not "laws". I never really researched it, but the term "scientific law" is probably an 18th or 19th Century concept.

re:"the fact is all theories are theories and laws are laws, you cannot mix and match them at your random illogical whim."
