Xybernaut Receives $1.1 Million Atigo Hardware Order; Strong Demand Continues for Dual Use Flat Panel/Thin-Client Computer December 11, 2002 09:09:00 AM ET FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 11, 2002--Xybernaut(R) Corporation XYBR today announced an order for approximately $1.1 million in Atigo(TM) hardware. This represents an addition to the previously announced order and deployment of 200 Atigo units with the same company. The combined initial orders from this single customer constitute approximately $1.5 million and represent one of the largest hardware orders the Company has received. "As we expected, Atigo is finding strong interest in numerous industry segments. Atigo offers a unique alternative to handheld devices, laptop/desktop computers and Tablet PC devices. Customers cite Atigo's benefits as a platform that offers seamless computing between mobile employees and centrally-located server computers," said Edward G. Specific applications and employee functions include customer relationship management, sales support, quality assurance and remote data access and management. Xybernaut expects to record this revenue in the fourth quarter of 2002 or the first quarter of 2003; however, the exact timing of this and other shipments will impact expected revenue recognition in both of these quarters.
