LOL!!! And the Founders of the US assigned the important stuff to the states in the 1790s and the less important to the federal gov't- -and also got it wrong! :-)

Actually, they assigned important matters to the federal gov't, but intended to limit the jurisdiction of the feds to only those matters. The limitations, over time, were worn down and overcome. Now the federal gov't has actually said it has jurisdiction over whatever it decides it has jurisdiction over. You don't like it? Revolt. Remember what happened last time?

Now, there are those of us who would argue that the feds aren't weak enough
Keep arguing it. The freedom of the people lives in the interstices between governments.
