Canada has a higher population of people of Middle Eastern dissent (if Mexico has any) and I guess Americans are worried about our border. The people pouring across the US/Mexican border only want to pick fruit I guess. I think its more that Mexico is perceived as a lesser state.....more third world. Of course, it shouldn't be that way and I suspect there are a lot more Mexicans, legal and illegal, living in the US than Canadians, legal and illegal. But it seems we are more concerned with Canada's opinion of us. ted
