His father was still a fairly minor Republican politician in a Democratic state. He could not get Dubya into the University of Texas Law School, assuming he tried. How do you suppose he could have prevented someone who had been egregiously AWOL from being brought up on charges?

Now you are blowing smoke out of your ass. Nation wide there may have been 100,000 waiting to join the Guard but how many were on the Houston list that had the needed degree, passed the physical and eye requirements and wanted to fly fighter jets?

What year did he join the guard..? I know in 64 the guard was empty and crying for people.
