Heard on the radio that Wall St. will feel "comfortable" with William Donaldson at the helm of the SEC.

Plans to run it like the dignified old CEO that he was (i.e. delegate the dirty work and spend his time smoothing the ruffled feathers of the elite).

Also heard that DLJ had upbraided some of their analysts for not touting stocks of Co.'s they had other biz with. Hmm, sounds familiar.

Now ain't that comforting for the rest of us.

Maybe they shoulda hired Sam Donaldson instead. At least he wouldn't try to make them feel "comfortable".

It will take a decade to clean up the mess. So, we should act & play accordingly. IMHO

Crusader, Agree with everything you said except for the part about jockeys. If they couldn't make horses run a race faster, some wouldn't be multi-millionaires and some wouldn't be making $35 a ride at a backwater track. <G>
