National Assoc of Broadcasters is one of the most powerful lobbyists in Washington. Congressfolk and Bush administration officials cater to the media owners, and vice-versa. With Powell's son head of FCC the broadcast owners are about to get as much control of each media market as they want.

re: vote fraud, if you get a chance, read "VOTESCAM", an eye-opener. Scalia was a fed judge back in those days, helping squash evidence of voting fraud in (where else?) Florida, and elsewhere in the 1970's.

The fix was in for JFK in Chicago, in various places for Nixon, and in New Hampshire for Bush Senior (he said upon his acceptance speech, 'Thank you, New Hampshire', when 14 mysterious percentage points were added on in the last couple of days to beat Dole. John Sununu had been governor of New Hampshire, said by the authors of "VOTESCAM" to have overseen the fraud, then made chief of staff by Bush. Or, maybe it's just another coincidence, like Jeb being governor of Florida with the usual voting "irregularities" down there helping his brother...
