Hi Karen, These are all very intelligent, knowledgable, and credible experts in their respective field who share a difference of opinion on a very controversial issue. I don't think there are any really clear answers here, though, my own personal belief is that Saddam can by deterred judging from his previous exploits and his desire to remain alive and in power. As for a definitive refutation of Pollack by Mearsheimer and Walt, well, let's just say it's just another piece of a big puzzle. Anyways, have a good night. <smile>
