(I was poking fun at Cy's theory that good economic results only show up after skipping three Presidential administrations....) Re your statement: "Actually there is a theory that's been around for 10-15 years that says we're going to have a big boom 2015-2020, but before that, we're going to have a very big depression. Which is all based on the demographics of the U.S." >>> I think you, or that 'theory', have got it reversed. Demographicly 2015-2020 is when the economy starts going to hell as the crest of the Baby Boomers retire and start cashing in their investments (pulling money from the equity markets) and switching to bonds and other income issues. Social Security demands start growing rapidly forcing the government to borrow vast amounts... or else raise taxes prohibitively (stifling growth) or cutting benefits. Wave theory also targets 2018 for a multi-generational bottom.
