Yep, they create the "money" that the banks get to lend out as a fractional part of the actual assets.

It's all a fucking pyramid scheme and every day I am amazed it hasnt collapsed yet.. Remember, no fiat currency on earth has ever lasted for more than 150 years. I think we're just about due.

the Fed doesn't actually have a magic printing machine. it has a magic credit creation machine. if the credit created is backed by specious assets, and/pr is not invested in NPV-positive projects, then they can "print" all they friggin' want and it won't change a damn thing.
