I think traders have started using Rydex as trading tool, and less J6pac types. IE its now smarter money

Rydex per say had nothing to do with it.
As 200% short rose dramatically the 200% long fell thru the floor.

This did not reverse becasue money was pouring into rydex short, it revrsed because sentiment measured OUTSIDE of rydex changed to extreme.

I would suggest too many puts got too far ITM. Had people been loading up with calls all the way down, reversal would not have veen nearly as strong as unwinding of puts coupled with inflows from pension rebalancing etc.

RYDEX did not call anything that BPNDX or BPOEX or the like did not call better.

I see no real case for RYDEX being of any use.
