But let's put this situation into perspective: Your post is pure and utter nonsense. By far the greatest threat of violent death and maiming that has been repeatedly demonstrated over longer than the past thirty years Do you THINK that's what it is about? You have somehow found a way in your tiny little mind to equate the deaths of 3,000 innocents at the hands of terrorists with some number of highway deaths? Frankly, I'm not sure what thought process leads you to somehow connect these two things. The only word I can think of to describe it is "convoluted".

They put on these masks pretending to support the equality of the people and claiming that the Rep. party represents all of the people, and then you find out that their new leader in the Senate was closely affiliated with a racist organization as late as 1998. Rob you make no sense what-so-ever...... re: Over the past 30 years there has been a mere few thousand U.S citizens lost to the purposeful acts of terrorism. But in the meantime, tens of thousands of people are killed each year on our highways and byways in violent crashes of metal. 1)tell that to those who died in the WTC or their relatives 2)it is also a threat to our way of life, just check the effect of the bombing on the economy 3) the effectiveness of the terrorists is growing exponentially few years back - few hundred 9/11 - 3,000+ in few years 30,000+? and in another few years a mil? re: We have grown to accept this slaughter as a cost of a vital, free and functioning society. the modern society expand the expected life-span and not opposite, you are very very very confused re: Bullet proof and secure cockpit doors had long been proposed as one measure to protect against just such a potential terrorist most of the terrorists are suicidal so try again re: we'll have a home-grown Hitler of our own. and how is that? care to explain....
